Tasting Note

Serena Sutcliffe, MW: Cabernet Sauvignon 82%, Merlot 16%, Cabernet Franc 2%. Made from 57% of the crop. A giant of a wine, from the first sniff. Huge opulence on the nose. On the palate, roasting coffee, aniseed, saltiness. Enourmous rich, ripe, peppery wine. Havanas and allspice, with blackberry lusciousness and mouth-filling, stunning creaminess that coats the teeth. Super (pronounced in the French way!!) 

Adam Bilbey: Intensity and composure here with a core of dense black fruit endlessly unfurling. Wow! This is an intriguing nose with the classic cedar, spice, and cigar smoke edges vying with lighter mulberry for attention. Effortless and intriguing nose. The palate is understated with silky smooth tannins that keep the core of black fruit in check. You can sense the energy and intensity here with the oak keeping the Mouton opulence and flamboyance all in check. Poised and harmonious. First Growth pedigree.
