Prosecco - Pessac-Leognan - Saint-Emilion - Langhe  Nebbiolo

We are delighted to welcome a new shipment of Sotheby's Own Label wines after their successful debut in Hong Kong in April. We have received overwhelmingly positive comments and we are eager to introduce a wider range of wines now available in Hong Kong: Sotheby's Prosecco Valdobbiadene Superiore Brut 2018, Sotheby's Pessac-Leognan 2017, Sotheby's Saint-Emilion 2017 and Sotheby's Langhe Nebbiolo 2017. These wines are well-crafted, textbook examples of their respective varietals and regions. They are made by some of our favourite producers, which offer great quality and amazing value. These are our go-to choices for everyday indulgence.

Sotheby's Prosecco Valdobbiadene Superiore Brut 2018
This is named Lot 021 for the New York zip code 10021, where the Sotheby’s headquarters building is located. Our Prosecco is clean, crisp and refreshing in style. It is produced by the Mongarda family, who makes wines from old vines in one of the most prized regions of the Veneto. The family focuses on growing healthy, quality grapes and letting the vintage and vineyards speak through the wine. This Prosecco is aromatic with apple, pear and floral notes of blossom and acacia. A versatile crowd-pleaser perfect for drinking on its own or pairing with popular Chinese cold dishes such as Sichuan chicken in chili oil and smacked cucumber salad.

Sotheby's Pessac-Leognan 2017
This is produced by our friends at Château Haut-Bailly. The property was purchased by the late American banker, Robert Wilmers, from the Sanders family in 1998, though the talented Veronique Sanders manages the property for the Wilmers family. This wine shows juicy notes of black currant and plum with a touch of tobacco and a mineral finish. It is perfect with grilled and roasted meats.

Sotheby's Saint-Emilion 2017
This is produced by Anabelle Cruse Bardinet from Château Corbin, who has a gift for making elegant, structured, balanced St. Emilion wines with generous expressions of fruit. It is elegant, easy to enjoy and perfect with a range of meat dishes, whether stir-fried or stewed.

Sotheby's Langhe Nebbiolo 2017
Produced by Paolo Scavino in Piedmont, Italy. Enrico Scavino was a pioneer in experimenting with 100% barrique oak and established himself as an avant garde winemaker in the region. Elisa, daughter of Enrico who joined the property in 2005, makes opulent yet fresh Langhe Nebbiolo. This wine shows lovely rich fruits on the nose balanced by lightness and freshness on the palate. It is perfect with Italian food, especially pizza and pasta, as well as a range of stir-fried Asian dishes.
