Tasting Note

Serena Sutcliffe, MW
66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot.  Immediately, this has the class of St. Julien on the nose. On the palate, it is all creamy fruit, both luscious and fresh. Lip-licking and mouth-coating, this is super and a huge success for Talbot, which I always love, and for winemaker Jean-Michel Laporte whose first vintage it is for the owning Cordier family.  This wine really makes me happy!

Nicholas Jackson, MW
Rich but so balanced and all the elements beautifully integrated. Smokey and delicious. Already showing well. So tempting.

Adam Bilbey
Polish and style to the deep blackcurrant and cassis fruit. Cigar box and cedar lift gives added complexity and sense of place. More gloss and energy than I remember at this estate. An exciting wine great energy and style to this classic terroir. The new regime is doing a great job! Superb.
