Producer: Château Haut Bailly

Lot 998: Named Lot 998 because 1998 was the year that Bob Wilmer acquired the property and placed 4th generation winemaker Veronique Sanders at the helm.

Our friends at Haut-Bailly make luscious, rich, enjoyable and approachable wines in Pessac-Léognan. The property was purchased by the late American banker, Robert Wilmers, from the Sanders family in 1998 and the family tradition continues, as the talented Veronique Sanders manages the property for the Wilmers family.

Tasting Note

Victor Rabot
Quite elegant on the nose, with juicy notes of black currant, cherry, strawberry, plum, with a hint of tobacco and a well defined gravelly mineral finish. Classic expression of Pessac-Leognan. Perfect wine for entrecôte steak and great with meats and cheeses.
