Lot 001: Named Lot 001 because it is our first ever own-label wine which we have carried since we launched our retail business in 2010.

This light, elegant and versatile Champagne is our #1 best-selling wine. 6th generation owner and winemaker Julien Barbier of the Legras family makes this Champagne from 100% Grand Cru vineyards in Chouilly and supplies the house champagne for a number of renowned three-Michelin star restaurants in Europe. It is a Blanc de Blancs, which means it is made exclusively from Chardonnay. We first tasted this Champagne in our boardroom in 1991 and loved it so much that we approached them about exclusively selling their wine in the US when we opened our retail business. We are proud to serve it at our events around the world. 

Tasting Note

Victor Rabot
Fresh, mineral nose with lovely citrus notes and a hint of toasted brioche. This Champagne is made 100% from Chardonnay and is light, bright and elegant with plenty of depth, concentration and flavor. It is an extremely versatile wine for any occasion and time of day.
