Sandhi

A Star From The Santa Rita Hills

Following our offers of Domaine de la Côte, we are happy to introduce Sandhi, a négociant project from the same team of Rajat Parr and Sashi Moorman. In my opinion these two men are making some of California’s most interesting wines right now.

Founded in 2010, Sandhi is a small production winery focusing on select vineyards from Santa Rita Hills in Santa Barbara County. The philosophy here is simple – to protect the vibrancy, freshness and energy of the fruit. In the cellar, all wines are wild-yeast fermented in neutral barrel, concrete vats and a very small touch of new French oak so as to impart flavors without overt oak influence. The Chardonnay undergoes malolactic fermentation, without lees stirring, to preserve freshness and the floral characteristics. The Pinot Noir is mostly fermented in whole bunches to retain the pureness of the fruits and to achieve a silky texture. The results are wines of amazing liveliness, well balanced acidity and structure, as well as striking minerality. These wines offer great character, quality and value!

Sourced directly from the producer, we cannot wait to share our allocation of Sandhi with you.
