Tasting Note

Serena Sutcliffe, MW: 89% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc. 60% new oak. Only 1,300 cases made. Smoky blueberries nose. It rolls round the mouth in an opulent way. Very wine-gummy and full of liquorice and glycerol.

Jamie Ritchie: Fresh and healthy fruit. Spicy cherries and plums. Elegant, with a red cherry finish and a touch of tobacco.

The 2012 Quintus (89% Merlot and 11% Cabernet Franc) is made in a firm, structured style with a hint of minerality, dark plum and black currant fruit, touches of cherries and spice, along with some background oak.
