Tasting Note

Wonderful scent; outstanding breed on the nose. This is clearly a grand vin. Then that beautiful, sumptuous, mellifluous fruit that just caresses the palate. A miracle of ripeness and succulence from a particularly tannic part of Bordeaux in a tannic vintage. Unbelievably convincing and authentic. This is pure Pauillac with tannins to match, but so perfectly fruit coated. This is fantastically good and should be landmark vintage for the property. Buy!

Blackcurrant, black cherry and liquorice. Very structured and unleashes dense, powerful, concentrated blackcurrants with a certain smokiness, as well as big tannins that are very well integrated. Huge powerful, dense, creamy, spicy blackcurrants, oak, coffee and chocolate on the finish, with massive tannins, fruit and fresh acidity. Retains harmony and freshness. A landmark Pichon Baron.
