Somehow, Domaine Bruno Clair remains under the radar of many Burgundy lovers. Perhaps it's because the domaine is located in Marsannay, a lesser visited village. Or because the holdings include everything from Marsannay, Gevrey and Chambolle to Vosne and Savigny. But what it might lack in a clear geographical identity it more than makes up for in the quality of the wines. And for now at least, they remain very fairly priced.
The famous wines are the Clos St. Jacques, Clos de Bèze and Bonnes-Mares, and stunning they are. But don't sleep on the Marsannay wines, in both colours; the Savigny Dominode or the Vosne Perdrix. This is a brilliant domaine which deserves more of our appreciation!
