Dom Pérignon appears to have left behind its status simply as a champagne, and moved into a realm where it occupies its own world. Yes, the recent vintage wines remain the face of the brand to the world, and we are happy to offer the 2013; a saline, leesy wine from this cool growing season. But more and more attention is now paid by the house to the other Dom Pérignon realms. The rosé has always been fabulous, especially from the vintage of the century so far, 2008.
And then there are the extra-aged versions. P2 sees around 15 years of age on the lees, yielding wines of magnificent power and focus. I find the fruit character more bound up in the structure of the wine with these bottlings, meaning that the 2003 is not the soft, fruity wine of the original vintage release, but much more serious and dry. The 2004 is energetic and zesty. Both show an entirely different – and thrilling – face to this familiar brand.
We are pleased to offer these outstanding wines at a special price in celebration of the Mid-Autumn festival; available for a limited time only.
This offer is valid until September 20, 2024. While stocks last. Offer may change without notice. Other conditions may apply.
