Uncompromising Quality Meets Value: Domaine Bruno Clair

Finna Sze | May 17, 2023

Situated in Marsannay-la-Côte in Burgundy, Domaine Bruno Clair is a family estate that has produced exceptional wine since 1979. Nowadays, the estate comprises 27 hectares across 8 villages, and produces wine from 32 different appellations.

Regarding the red wine production, in recent years, the estate has increased the practice of whole-bunch vinification, introducing new levels of finesse and precision to the wines. After fermenting in open wooden vats, the red wines then mature for 18 to 20 months in oak barrels, with up to 50% new barrels depending on the appellation, before being bottled.

Starting from the ready-to-drink Gevrey-Chambertin to the powerful and promising Bonnes-Mares and Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru, Bruno Clair is one to look out for, especially since their wines remain within a relatively affordable price range compared to their peers.
