Founded by renowned winemaker Eben Sadie, the estate has become a benchmark for Swartland wines, producing some of the country's most sought-after bottles. These wines are celebrated for their purity, elegance, and ability to express the unique character of their vineyards.
For everyday enjoyment, Treinspoor 2024 (WA 95) showcases the potential of Tinta Barocca, offering vibrant notes of blackberry, black cherry, wild herbs, and spice. Twiswind 2024 (WA 95) is a Mediterranean-inspired white blend bursting with citrus blossom, white peach, pear, and coastal herbs. Its bright acidity, layered texture, and refreshing saline character make it an exceptionally versatile food wine.
Awarded WA 98, Palladius 2023 is my personal favourite and one of South Africa's greatest white wines. Its remarkable balance of richness and freshness, combined with its refined texture and elegance, makes it captivating today while promising even greater complexity with time.
The iconic Columella 2023 (WA 97) remains a benchmark for South African reds. Led by Syrah, it reveals layers of dark berries, violets, black pepper, and exotic spices. Powerful yet refined, it combines concentration, freshness, and silky tannins in a wine of exceptional balance and ageing potential.
