The Other Ente to Know - Benoit Ente

Benoit Ente is the younger brother to Arnaud Ente and whilst Arnaud has grabbed the headlines, Benoit is considered a fine grower and winemaker and a rising star in the region. Benoit inherited superb parcels of vineyards in Puligny Montrachet and established his own Domaine in 1998. His winemaking uses a higher percentage of new oak and frequent battonage to create a style that is rich and expressive. However, in recent vintages he has lowered the usage of new oak to focus on purity and balance.

His Bourgogne bottlings are perfect as aperitifs and great for weeknight enjoyment, offering refreshing crispness.  The Puligny Montrachet village wines showcase such transparency and elegance with delicate citrus fruits and subtle tastiness. I recently had his Clos de la Truffiere Premier Cru 2016 and loved it very much. This wine shows charming lemon fruits, white flowers, mineral scents with a medium body and a persistent finish.

Below is our selection of Benoit Ente and I recommend them for all occasions.
