Founded in 2020 by winemaker Mu Chao, trained in Burgundy and Rhône at estates such as Clos de Tart and Jean-Louis Chave, Domaine Muxin brings French precision to China’s high-altitude terroir. Vineyards sit between 2,200–2,700 meters, with intense sunlight, cool temperatures, and dramatic diurnal shifts – conditions that yield wines of remarkable freshness and complexity.
Muxin Rouge 2023
It opens with red berry and floral tones, then deepens into blueberry and cassis. It is light on its feet yet layered, with gentle tannins and a cool-climate freshness. A graceful Cabernet that surprises with finesse and length.
Muxin Blanc 2023
Fresh and elegant, it shows bright citrus and white flower aromas with hints of peach. The palate is smooth and lively, with crisp acidity and a clean mineral finish. A refined Chardonnay that balances freshness with subtle oak notes.
To me, Domaine Muxin’s 2023 Blanc and Rouge are not just wines – they are milestones in China’s ascent on the fine wine stage. With their elegance, precision, and rarity, they offer collectors and enthusiasts alike a glimpse into the future of high-altitude winemaking.
