Founded in 1776, Louis Roederer has remained an independent, family-owned company and is now managed by Frederic Rouzaud, who represents the seventh generation of the lineage. It is known for its exceptional craftsmanship and dedication to producing high-quality champagne.
Cristal is the most well-known wine crafted by Louis Roederer. It is produced only as a vintage wine in years when grapes have attained perfect maturity. It is then aged for 6 years in the cellar and left for a further 8 months after disgorgement. The 2015 vintage offers a vibrant and expressive bouquet, revealing aromas of jasmine, baked apple, and stone fruits. On the palate, it is creamy and velvety, with a persistent and lively finish.
