Sotheby’s Wine is delighted to present the new release of Henri Giraud Argonne 2018.
Regarded as the flagship expression of Champagne Henri Giraud, Argonne reflects the house's unwavering commitment to terroir and craftsmanship. Rooted in the Grand Cru village of Aÿ, where the Giraud family history dates back to 1625, this exceptional cuvée is crafted from 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay. Matured entirely in new oak barrels sourced from the historic Argonne Forest and aged on its lees for a minimum of six years, it represents the pinnacle of the house's winemaking philosophy.
The celebrated 2018 vintage, marked by exceptional ripeness and concentration, provides the foundation for a Champagne of remarkable depth and precision. Layers of dried fruit, creamy mousse, subtle oak influence, and crushed chalk minerality are supported by vibrant acidity and a persistent finish.
