Domaine Paul Pernot is one of the largest landowners in Puligny-Montrachet, its size rivaled only by estates like Domaine Leflaive and Domaine de Montille. The holdings include several notable 1er Cru and Grand Cru plots, as well as vineyards that have been in the family for over two centuries. The domaine is known for its exquisite cuvées, renowned for their generosity, purity, richness, and cool minerality.
Paul Pernot founded the estate in 1959 and planted many of the winery’s most iconic plots, but today, it’s his sons Michel, Paul Jr. and their children who are running the show. Yet the blueprint established by père Paul – whole clusters, barrel fermentation, judicious oak – remains well in place, lending a beautiful sense of continuity to Pernot bottlings over the years.
Sotheby’s Wine is thrilled to share a selection of these benchmark cuvées from the 2021 vintage, each release capturing a different dimension of this renowned Puligny-Montrachet estate.
