Meursault is the largest of the three great white wine villages of the Côte de Beaune, with the range of different terroirs available matched only by the number of different winemaking styles on offer. A good introduction to the village is Hudelot-Noellat's Clos des Ecoles, a fresh example with plenty of nutty substance.
Comtesse de Chérisey produces gorgeous examples of Meursault, largely from the hamlet of Blagny. These are fresh, mineral styles, with an overlay of citrus: a lovely combination.
Roulot, meanwhile, is a benchmark for the village, with his taut, reductive style: these wines display great coiled energy and precision. We are delighted to offer two of Roulot's top wines: the concentrated, structured Bouchères from the wonderful 2014 vintage; and Genevrières, one of the village's most celebrated Premiers Crus.
