As all drinkers of Penfolds know, age is a necessity if you want to experience the full complexity and thrill of these great Australian reds. That's why we're delighted to offer a range of maturing wines from the Penfolds stable, including two exceptionally rare bottlings.
But let's start with the classic, Grange, arguably the most complete and rewarding of all Australian wines. The 2014 was a recent exceptional vintage; the 2008 an all-time great, and already drinking well. The 707 Cabernet is just one step below Grange in the Penfolds quality hierarchy; pick up the 2008 to compare with the Grange from the same vintage. Finally, the Block 42 Kalimna Cabernet 2004 and Bin 170 Kalimna Shiraz 2010 have only ever been made once before these vintages; both the result of exceptional conditions producing wines as thrilling as they are rare.
