Sotheby’s Wine is thrilled to offer a special bottle from Martell – L’Or de Jean Martell Zodiac Edition (Snake).

Every year, Maison Martell releases an exclusive edition of its most exceptional cognac in homage to its historic ties with China, inspired by that year’s Zodiac animal.

For the 2025 release, Christophe Valtaud (Martell Cellar Master) made a scrupulous selection of very old eaux-de-vie from past Years of the Snake, combining them with the original blend – a symphony of over 1,400 eaux-de-vie from Cognac’s four finest terroirs. The blend preserves the intensity and elegance of the original cognac with extreme subtlety, delicacy and refinement.

The cognac is bottled in a stunning crystal decanter with a neck adorned with intricately engraved 19-carat gold and a sculpted portrayal of a snake’s head, bearing the signatures of Martell x Baccarat. Only 500 pieces produced. Each bottle individually numbered.
