Grand Cru Roulot in Bottles and Magnums

Nick Jackson, MW | May 7, 2025

Few Burgundy fans miss the opportunity to enjoy the wines of Jean-Marc Roulot when the opportunity presents itself. Meursault’s actor-turned-winemaker continues, year after year, to produce some of the village’s finest wines. The chiselled, taut style continues to thrill, even if we have been familiar with it for some 20 years now.

A more recent development in Jean-Marc’s portfolio is the arrival of a range of négociant wines made from purchased fruit, since the 2014 vintage. One of the attention-grabbing wines in this line-up comes not from Meursault, but from the other end of the Côte de Beaune: grand cru Corton-Charlemagne. Combining the native power of Corton-Charlemagne and the energetic style of Jean-Marc’s wines, the result is a heady mix of concentration and vibrancy.

We are pleased to offer three recent vintages which are drinking well now: the opulent 2018, and the more racy yet still concentrated 2019 and 2020, including in magnum format for those occasions when a mere bottle of Roulot is simply not enough.
