The 4-time NBA Champion, 2-time MVP, and future Hall of Famer Stephen Curry needs no introduction for basketball fans. What many may not know, however, is that his passion for bourbon runs just as deep as his pursuit of trophies on the court.
“I’ve long found that these unforgettable evenings are often best enjoyed with a rich and nuanced Bourbon in hand, which is why I’m proud to have helped carefully craft a new signature Kentucky Straight Bourbon.” – Stephen Curry
After years of exploring and appreciating fine whiskeys, Curry set out to create his own bourbon that genuinely reflects the same discipline and relentless dedication that have defined his legendary career. Rather than simply lending his name to a spirits brand, he played an active role throughout the project, from production and blending decisions to strategic leadership and brand development.
In 2023, Curry partnered with acclaimed Napa vintner John Schwartz to establish a venture with Boone County Distilling Co., one of Kentucky’s most historic distilleries. Together, they created Gentleman’s Cut – a passion project built upon a deep respect for craftsmanship and Kentucky’s rich whiskey heritage.
The result is their signature Kentucky Straight Bourbon crafted from a mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley. Aged for 5-7 years in newly charred American oak barrels and bottled at 90 proof, the whiskey delivers a seamless sip of honey, vanilla, nutmeg, warm spices, and subtle earthy undertones. Such polished, approachable style is sophisticated enough for bourbon enthusiasts while remaining inviting for those new to the category.
