Domaine Jobard: The Deft Hand from Meursault

Domaine Jobard is a family-run winery located in Meursault, on Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune, and it is now run by the fifth generation, Antoine Jobard. Since taking over, there is no question that Antoine has lifted the domaine to new heights, and these are now widely lauded wines. Of great note is the fact that this high praise extends to the comments of esteemed peers within the Burgundian winemaking community: probably the greatest compliment that exists in this region!

Antoine Jobard carries on his father’s legacy of crafting tightly wound Meursault from the family’s superb holdings. The winemaking is traditional with up to 20% use of new oak, and the wines are aged for a lengthy period in barrel on their lees. His deft hand has brought a sensuous approachability to the wines without comprising their taut, chiselled personalities for which they have become so famous and sought-after.
