Domaine Coquard-Loison-Fleurot is located in Flagey-Échézeaux with 9 hectares of vines. It is a relatively new estate that has made headlines for its skillful entrance to the market and its consistency among the top-ranking wines in Burgundy. Since 2010, with the arrival of winemaker Thomas Collardot, the wines have gained purity and are often praised by critics and collectors, receiving cult wine status early on. An estate to watch closely!
I visited the Domaine in 2017, where I was lucky enough to try most of their selection. I was truly impressed by the representation of each of their plots and respective terroirs. "Elegant and traditional" would be the best way I could describe the style of this estate, which showcases a purity of the fruit, without any austerity, and a real structure. The maturation process lasts between 15 to 18 months with up to 50% new oak barrels. The wines are unfined and unfiltered. Enjoy the range in their youth or keep them in your cellar, as their structure benefits from cellaring.
Simply put, these wines are impressive and still affordable. I invite you to browse our selection and get some for yourself before they become much more expensive.
