A Range of Formats and Vintages
Domaine Arnaud Ente was founded in 1992 and has built a huge cult following with his wines being highly sought-after and ever so scarce.
Arnaud learned his craft alongside the legendary Jean-François Coche (unequivocally one of the greatest ever white winemakers around the world) from Domaine Coche-Dury. It is easy to draw a comparison between the two of them: rich yet weightless, wines, that are all about balance and precision.
I really like his micro cuvées, based on the age of the vines:
-Meursault - vines planted in 1955 and 2003
-Meursault "Clos des Ambres" - 65 years old vines
-Meursault "Sève du Clos" - over 100 years old vines
The reflection of the terroir and the intensity, depth and complexity are impressive with these parcels from older vines. These characteristics are also found in the Puligny Montrachet,Champ Gain 1er Cru that we have available (see below).
He also produces delicious reds from Volnay, Santenots du Milieu, 1er Cru and great value Bourgogne level wines, with his eponymous style shining throughout the whole range.
We are huge fans of his wines, both white and red. Arnaud Ente has reached the superstar ranks in Côte de Beaune with some of the finest Meursault crafted in Burgundy.
We are delighted to offer a wide range of different vintages and formats, including some of the superb 2018s.
