Château Mouton Rothschild: Four Vintages to Compare

Maxime LeCoq | January 7, 2022

1995 - 1996 - 1999 - 2008

Château Mouton Rothschild needs no introduction. Part of the very select club of Bordeaux's First Growths since 1973, the estate name has been resonating with Bordeaux's history since the Rothschild family acquired it in 1853. Many of the Rothschild’s moves have paved the way for Bordeaux's modern era. They were pioneers in many aspects, from winemaking to vineyard management; from distribution to sales; and, of course, to the series of artist labels. No wonder that the success story is very much alive in multiple projects worldwide.

Our selection focuses on the Grand Vin: Château Mouton Rothschild itself, spanning over four vintages, each of them having a true identity and different evolution over time. All of them are worth trying and can be enjoyed side-by-side as a deep-dive into Bordeaux's history.
