Today, I am pleased to introduce a special case from Bordeaux: The Varieties Collection Case from Château Léoville-Las Cases 1986.
Renowned as one of the iconic estates nestled in Saint-Julien, Château Léoville-Las Cases and its wines continue to reach the peaks of excellence and elegance. 1986 was a remarkable vintage from Bordeaux’s Left Bank. The grapes, led by the exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon, were harvested at the peak of ripeness, resulting in wines that embody both robust structure and exquisite finesse.
The collection case contains two bottles of Léoville-Las Cases 1986, plus one bottle for each of the four varieties included in the 1986 blend: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
Additionally, the case features two château-branded glasses, a glass measuring cylinder, funnel and drop-stop in order for you to taste the components of the Grand Vin and even create your own versions of Léoville-Las Cases 1986 by varying the proportions of each grape variety.
For avid collectors and enthusiasts, the Varieties Collection Case is a true gem that deserves a spot in your cellar.
