Racines is a Californian wine project run by two famous names in French wine: Rodolphe Peters, of Champagne Pierre Péters, and Etienne de Montille, of the famed Volnay domaine. Together, they have collaborated to produce wines as brilliant as their own, on the opposite side of the world.
The winery is in the Santa Rita Hills of Santa Barbara County in southern California. There, the team produces a range of single-vineyard wines using the techniques deployed in their home domaines. As for the style of the wines, the Chardonnays are racy and pure, with bright Californian fruit; the Pinot Noirs are spicy, full and rich, in part thanks to the use of whole cluster fruit during fermentation.
Additionally, Sotheby’s is excited to announce a limited-time offer on all in-stock California wines. Valid now through the end of July, use code California2025 to receive 10% off at checkout.
