Big Bottles of Stellar Bordeaux: Château Quintus

Nick Jackson, MW | March 19, 2026

Château Quintus is the new St. Emilion property created by the Dillon family of Haut-Brion in 2011. Perched at the top of the famous limestone slope close to the town of St. Emilion, Quintus, with its outstanding terroir, is now considered in the leading rank of local properties. The wine style is juicy and succulent, with a racy acidity and chalky minerality ensuring freshness. This is modern St. Emilion in all the best ways.

We are pleased to offer a range of large-format bottles from vintages that are drinking well today. These are ideal for your next family celebration or dinner party, with all the food pairing options that classic Bordeaux opens up. The vintages available span 2012 to 2021, and I would not hesitate to open any of them. Particularly appealing to me, though, are the magnums of 2012; the 6L imperial of 2014 and the magnums of 2017. Cheers!
