Founded in 1992, Arnaud Ente has become one of the most renowned producers of Burgundy. Admired primarily for its exceptional whites, Arnaud Ente also offers an enticing range of red wines that are truly worth exploring.
Today, I am pleased to present three vintages of Bourgogne Rouge and the 2016 Volnay Premier Cru Santenots du Milieu. Crafted with utmost precision and finesse, these wines epitomize the essence of Arnaud Ente's winemaking prowess.
The Bourgogne Rouge sources its grapes from two parcels, Les Champans in Puligny-Montrachet and Les Magnys in Meursault, where all grapes are harvested by hand. Whether it’s the ripe and fleshy 2015, the elegant and expressive 2016 or the fruity and balanced 2017, Arnaud Ente's Bourgogne Rouge consistently exudes aromas of red cherries, raspberries, and rose petals. A truly delightful wine that captivates the senses.
Turning our attention to the Volnay Premier Cru Santenots du Milieu, we find ourselves transported to a vineyard where vines were first planted in the year 1992. The wine shows beautiful aromas of rose petals, raspberries, tobacco and a touch of smoke. While it is ready for immediate drinking, this wine can also benefit from a few more years of ageing.
