Chateau Lafleur 2020

The Guinaudeau family have been producing fine wine on the Right Bank for generations.

Sotheby’s is honored to be appointed as an ‘ambassadors’ for the Guinaudeau family’s wine since 2020 in New York. We have been supporter of the family wines for many years from their incredibly good value Grand Village Blanc and Rouge to the Grand Vin: Chateau Lafleur. Not to forget also the very limited production of Les Champs Libres, a Sauvignon Blanc.

Note also the recently new name added to their portfolio: Les Perrières.

Les Perrières was born from the idea of creating a new vineyard, planted with Bouchet vines from Lafleur on top of the famous fossil-spotted limestone soils of Fronsac. Nine years of research and life-size experimentation were needed for Baptiste and Julie to finally realize the vineyard of Les Perrières: terroir selection, soil studies, purchasing parcels, uprooting existing vines and, finally, planting. Previously called “Acte” to these first nine vintages of exploration. Those first nine “Actes” were indispensable in giving birth to this new cru called Les Perrières, for which 2018 is the first vintage.
