Tasting Note

Bordeaux Futures. Wine currently held in Bordeaux. Estimated arrival in the US: fall 2021. Only available in 6 bottle original wooden cases.

Serena Sutcliffe, MW
69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, 9% Petit Verdot, 3% Cabernet Franc.  30% of the production.  The very small berries gave the highest proportion ever of tannins in Pavillon Rouge, which is difficult to perceive as they are so fine.  Lovely spicy nose.  Tempting red fruits on the palate, very juicy and red curranty.  Just so vivacious and so easy to lap up.  A very good Pavillon.

Nicholas Jackson, MW
Beautiful red fruit, smoke, sweet spice and milk chocolate nose.  A lovely sweet taste. Very toothsome.  And then that wonderfully fine grained texture that sets this property apart.  A very long, fragrant finish.  Really gorgeously perfumed on the finish.  Totally unforced and seamless in spite of having the highest tannins ever for this wine.

Jamie Ritchie
Raspberries and cherries on the nose. Youthful, bright, pure, fresh and finely grained. Quite juicy and sumptuous with good concentration of fruit and lots of tannin. Structured and balanced. Finishes with smoky, raspberry, strawberry and black cherries. Finesse and purity, in combination with tannin, fruit and acidity. Good length. An impressive Pavillon Rouge.
