Tasting Note

90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot.  36% of the production.This is just so scented, the very essence of Margaux. A super expression of Cabernet Sauvignon strikes you immediately, from bouquet to palate, with beautiful breed of texture and finesse of tannins.  There is great aromatic expansion in the mouth and flavours of ripe blueberries, plus total silkiness. A very refined Margaux, with total precision and balance.

Hugely floral, smoky nose - even an unlikely hint of citrus!  That wonderfully silky texture, with the full breed of the site emerging already: endless flavours of wood smoke, cedar and milk chocolate.  Absolutely seductive and gorgeous.  Just an unbelievably long finish.  Very hard to spit!  Superb.  Also, there is such a good harmony between the cedary flavours here and the oak. You can almost eat this wine it’s so gourmand. 
 

Victor Rabot 
A nice balance between smoky flavors with the juicy red and black fruits present on the palate. There is an impressive silky tannins structure, with an incredible persistence on the palate. A breathtaking Chateau Margaux.
