Thrilling White Burgundy from Desjourneys

Desjourneys is that rare thing in today's Burgundy world: an under-the-radar producer making outstanding wines for excellent prices. Owner Fabien Duperray has for many years been the agent for numerous top Burgundy producers, including Coche-Dury and Arnaud Ente. With his knowledge of these wines, he recently set to making his own, largely from the Mâconnais region.

The Desjourneys style is everything we love in white Burgundy: chiselled, taut and vibrant, even in a warm vintage like 2018. Perhaps the lack of renown simply reflects how recently Desjourneys entered the scene, or perhaps it's that drinkers dismiss the Mâconnais region. Either way, we are the beneficiaries, having access to these thrilling wines at very attractive prices.
