Robert Chevillon: Among the Top Nuits Saint Georges

Old Vines and Great Wines

The delicious reds from Domaine Robert Chevillon are what I show clients first, when they are looking for Pinot Noir at an exceptional value. Their fresh and inviting fruit, along with floral and woodsy aromas, are enough to make one fall in love with Burgundy over and over again.

Brothers Denis and Bertrand Chevillon manage the Nuits Saint Georges vineyards their relatives have been acquiring since the early 1900s. They tend to some of the top vineyards in the appellation including Les Cailles, which from 2014 shows alluring black raspberry notes and a lengthy finish, revealing more character as it opens up. Their Chaignots from the same vintage leads with a bit more earth, cherry, and heft on the palate.

There are no Grand Crus in Nuits Saint Georges, which is a story for another time. So, no sense in holding back on securing these premium wines, made by artisans who practice their craft with the utmost integrity, and are offered at very attractive prices.
