Burgundy 2013

Quintessential and Classic | By Graham Tucker | 20 Feb 2018

Newcomers to White Burgundy will not find a more representative and terroir-driven vintage than 2013. Compared to the fleshier and fuller 2014 to the more opulent styles from 2012, the cooler conditions of 2013 produced classic, quintessential Burgundian  Chardonnay - the wines are mid-weight, vibrant, crisp and extremely balanced and focused. The minerality pops and the racy acidity provides a refreshing and structured backbone that makes the wines surprisingly age worthy. And the best producers really delivered wines with a perfect harmony between purity and richness. Without a doubt a vintage with its own unique personality and one that Burgundy drinkers and novices alike can appreciate.

Below we are pleased to highlight our best selections from 2013.
