Comtes de Champagne: One of the Greats

The Epitome of Finesse
Each luxury cuvée Champagne has its own identity, some bombastic, some haughty, some demanding age to show well. Taittinger's Comtes de Champagne is more subtle than all that, but no less starry.

The Comtes style is the epitome of finesse; a pure and detailed Blanc de Blancs expression: ideal pre-dinner drinking. But just when you think you understand it, the lingering complexities stay with you, and force you to return to the glass. That subtlety could be why this wine is consistently under-rated; but there is no doubt that this is one of Champagne's icons.

We are pleased to offer both the 2007 (drinking beautifully now) and the new release, 2011; a difficult year but a stunning wine. Finally, the Comtes Rosé is a rare and brilliant animal - don't sit on that one!
