Bordeaux 2015

Tasting the 2015 Bordeaux reds from barrel two springs ago was a joy.  After four successive modest vintages, the 2015s were juicy, exuberant, vibrant and fresh.  Recent tastings from bottle have confirmed that initial promise.

Particularly successful areas of Bordeaux in 2015 were St. Emilion and Pomerol on the Right Bank and Pessac-Leognan and Margaux on the Left Bank.  But all areas produced wines of depth and generosity with a real succulence to the fruit.  This is modern Bordeaux in the best sense of the word: fruit driven and rich while remaining elegant and complex.  Now that the 2015s have started arriving, we encourage you to sample for yourself – there is a huge amount of happy drinking here for now and decades to come.

Best Wishes,

Right Bank

The Right Bank really excelled in 2015, where the Merlot achieved full ripeness and produced wines of great richness of flavor and depth.  While you will be able to age these wines for decades to come, many are also ready for drinking relatively young given their soft textures and ripe tannins.
