A Napa Valley Tour de Force: Harlan, Dominus, Shafer and More

Retail Team | May 16, 2023

We’ve just received an exciting world-class selection of Napa Valley icons, including library wines dating back to 2004. These wines are a tour de force of the top appellations of Napa Valley, spanning from the valley floor of Yountville to high-elevation vineyards on Pritchard Hill, and from some of the most respected producers of Cabernet Sauvignon on the planet.

From Bill Harlan, the Vintner with the 200-year plan and a vision of producing a First Growth from the hills of Oakville, we have three vintages of this stunning, classic, and age-worthy wine.

Located in Yountville, Dominus Estate is the Napa Valley outpost of legendary Christian Moueix who managed Château Pétrus for 38 years and still manages 8 of his family’s châteaux in Bordeaux.

John Shafer was one of the founding godfathers of Stag’s Leap AVA, and from this appellation Shafer Hillside Select soon became one of the most coveted wines. Showcasing the rocky hillsides for which the wine is named, it will reward you for decades of slumber in your cellar.

Spottswoode is beloved by collectors and Sommeliers for impeccable balance year after year, while simultaneously capturing the perfect expression of each vintage’s character. The winery was one of the first in Napa to adopt organic farming, and is a leader in the community and around the world in setting a new standard of practices for a sustainable future.

High atop Pritchard Hill sits Colgin Cellars, with some of the most prized vineyards in all of Napa Valley. The IX vineyard was formed by centuries of volcanic activity, shaping this site which faces east presiding over Lake Hennessey. We have wine from the outstanding 2015 vintage as well as a rare vertical of IX Vineyard ranging from 2005-2009.

Any serious collection should include these gems, and these rarities won’t last long.
