A Year of Pleasure
From the first En Primeur tastings of the 2015 Bordeaux vintage, it was evident that this was, above all, a vintage of pleasure. The wines were a joy to taste young, with their supple fruit, ripe tannins and native generosity. And so the wines remain today, improving in the bottle and yielding more pleasure than ever.
Our broad selection covers many of the top names, and all for prices that look very fair. For Pomerol lovers like me, the selection is particularly enticing: Eglise-Clinet, Evangile, Le Gay, and Pensées de Lafleur (the latter always under the radar) are all excellent buys. There are many value options from across the region, such as Marsau, Chauvin, Fieuzal, Lagrange, Meyney and Reserve de la Comtesse.
And finally, among the top names, Cos d'Estournel, Lynch-Bages, Haut-Brion and Montrose are all on top form.
