An exciting, medium bodied, peppery, smoky, yet youthfully juicy Syrah that resembles a lighter weight Hermitage. Recently enjoyed (from bottle – out of magnum the wine would accommodate a larger, more swinging dinner party, and would have an added youth and verve) with a heaping plate of homemade mushroom, veal and ricotta lasagna. This Crozes had the zip and spice to cut through the weight of the dish easily.
