It is often pretty massive, meaty and chunky with an `iodé` element that almost resembles a St. Estèphe. At other times, even in large format, it is pure essence of cassis, sweet, soft and velvety. Watch it evolve and raid the cellar when it hits the note that really speaks to you. It is always succulent, spicy and sweet. In 2008, it was just so luscious, opulent and winning, all-over violet creams. On David (Peppercorn`s!) birthday, it had an overwhelming, scented nose, exotic, haunting and all-enveloping.
