Serena Sutcliffe, MW: "57% Pinot Noir, 43% Chardonnay and 24% oak fermented. Disgorged in January 2006 and last tasted in December 2009. This was a very warm year with the lowest acidity since 1959. Incredibly, all-enveloping, honied nose. Orange blossom and acacia. White flowers and a very ‘winey’ quality. Immensely alluring. Wild peaches and silkiness on the palate with absolute freshness to match the ripeness. So juicy, finishing with such a ‘sweet’ sign-off combined with the still youthful attack which one so loves and anticipates in a great Champagne." 04/10
