Tasting the ‘08s this past week with Claude from Chandon de Briailles was a great reminder of what wonderful value her wines are. Introduced to the Domaine by our own Robert Sleigh, who has spent time working at the property in the past, we are very excited to drink the ‘08s as we wait for the ‘05s and ‘06s to come around. Employing her philosophy of no new oak on any of the wines, Claude has made a beauty with nice spicy fruit and good acid to back it up. Red Burgundy of this quality and at this price is most certainly a wine to pick up by the case. 06/10
